Used to make high-fidelity acoustic devices

Diamond has the highest sound transmission speed (C=18.5km/s) and a moderate internal damping factor. The diaphragm prepared with its film has excellent high-frequency response characteristics, and the HRF value of the material increases with the increase of the sound transmission speed. Increase, up to 63k Hz. The signal-to-noise ratio also increases with the increase of the sound transmission speed, and a high signal-to-noise ratio can produce a clear sound. Due to the large HRF of DF and DLC, they are the most ideal mid- to high-frequency diaphragm materials and can be used to manufacture high-fidelity (Hi-Fi) acoustic devices.

Polycrystalline diamond-coated ceramic diaphragm has been used as the high-frequency diaphragm of high-end stereo speakers. Internationally, DLC-coated diaphragm is close to commercialization, and DF diaphragm is still far from commercialization.
